Janine walked into Robin's life one morning… on Monday, May 19, 2014 to be exact. It was her first day at Robin’s firm and at the time, he was actually considering leaving for new opportunities. It was because of her that he decided to stay. One week turned into two weeks which turned into five months. Robin’s entire time at the office was spent in front of Janine’s desk, talking about anything he could think of to charm his way into her life. His charm seemed to be working as they spent that summer getting to know each other while bouldering rocks at the climbing gym, drinking various milk teas and talking until midnight. She brought out the younger side of him with all of her shenanigans!

He eventually left for a new firm but that did not stop them from continuing to spend time with each other. Even though their offices were on opposite sides of the city, Robin still made the trek to have lunch with Janine every single day. 

 

Their closest friends would admit that it wasn’t the fastest courtship – they definitely took their time to get to know each other. But having gone through their own share of experiences, it was important to the both of them to work towards something real. Something that would stand the test of time.

After a few years of “dating” Robin decided to officially ask Janine to be his girlfriend. While on a trip overseas, on a beautiful island called Boracay, Robin hired a private chef to prepare the perfect dinner. On a private beach with the waves crashing calmly against the sand, and with John Legend’s “All of Me” playing in the background, he asked her to make things official. In such a perfect setting, with his heart in her hand, it wasn’t a hard decision to make…. he promised her that she would never regret it.
